Microsoft’s Windows 10 Creators Update not only brought new features for creators but also provided users with more control over the privacy of their personal data. It looks like users have appreciated this change in Windows 10 OS after highly criticized initial versions of Windows 10 privacy management.

Microsoft has today officially thanked the users in a blog post for their feedback that they have given over the privacy improvements in the Creators Update. They say 71 percent of users have ticked the Full diagnostics data privacy option so that Microsoft can fix things and improve products.

Microsoft said that they are really excited by the direct complementary feedbacks for the privacy settings like “The privacy settings added to clean installs are a boon for the privacy minded,” and “Very well done”. Microsoft said they will be using this opportunity for refining their approach to privacy for the overall betterment of the OS.

At the end of the post, they have announced that Windows 10 as an Operating System will soon be compliant with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which will be going into effect from 2018. Please note that only Windows 10 as OS will be compliant with GDPR it doesn’t mean that any other company using Windows 10 will also compliant.

And Windows Insiders will soon be seeing some new privacy changes in the upcoming Insider builds.
