Microsoft has finally completed the development of the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and the update will be released on October 17. Today, cumulative update with Build 16299.15 has been released to Windows 10 Fall Creators Update devices on the Fast Ring and it is actually the RTM build, as a result the build 16299.XXX would be released to the general public in the coming weeks.

Microsoft has chosen the Build 16299.15 as RTM (Release to manufacture) that will be pre-loaded onto new hardware. If you are on the Creators Update and would like to test the Fall Creators Update, you can install the Build 16299.15 as it is the Windows 10 update Microsoft will be releasing to its OEM partner for their new devices.

Microsoft will, however, continue to improve this build with more cumulative updates. In the coming days, Microsoft will release patches to fix several issues before the public release. As you might have guessed already, no new features or major changes will be introduced.

Dona Sarkar had earlier confirmed that Microsoft will publicly announce the RTM build of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, so an announcement in this regard is expected anytime soon.

If you want to clean-install build 16299, you can do so by downloading the third-party ISOs from here as Microsoft is yet to release the official ISOs. What do you think about the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update? Let us know in the comments below.
